Roger V. Huntsman, 46, Independence, Mo. died Sept. 9, 2004. Services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, Sept. 14 at Jesus Name Pentecostal Church, 5225 N. Brighton, K.C., Mo. 64119; interment Wed. at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Haddem, Ks. Visitation will be 6 - 8:30 pm, Monday at Speaks Suburban Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Roger V. Huntsman Music Scholarship Fund in care of the church. Roger was born Feb. 14, 1958 in Kansas City, MO. He was a pressroom foreman at the Kansas City Star where he had worked for over twenty years. He loved the 4th of July and fireworks. He was also a musician who played sax and guitar. Roger was very active in his church and always played his sax for services. He loved motorcycles and was a member of the Azuza Street Riders, a church motorcycle group. Roger was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Deborah L. Huntsman, of the home; grandmother, Ruby O. Mitchell, Mansfield, MO; and many close family members and friends.
