Edwin J. Huntsucker, 97 of Independence, MO passed away Thu. July 15, 2004 at his home. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Mon. Jul 19, 2004 at the George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8:00 pm, Sun. Jul. 18, 2004 at the Funeral Home, with a Masonic service being held at 8:pm. Contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer�s Association or the Susquehanna Baptist Church. Mr. Huntsucker was born on Feb. 6, 1907 to Lewis and Minnie Lee (Herron) Huntsucker in Sibley, MO and was a life long area resident. Edwin had been a Foreman at the Lake City Ammunitions Plant, retiring in 1972. He was a Mason and a member of the East Gate Masonic Lodge #630. A Missouri Army National Guard veteran of WWII. He was a member and Deacon Emeritus at Susquehanna Baptist Church. Edwin was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed doing woodwork, going to the Lake of the Ozarks and fishing. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, David and Elwood. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Lillian L. (Stanfield) Huntsucker of Independence, MO. A daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Joe McCullough of Independence. Four brothers, Harvey Huntsucker of Sibley, MO; Tom Huntsucker of Buckner, MO; Carl Huntsucker and Lewis Huntsucker, Jr., both of Independence, MO. Three sisters, Betty Robinson, Inez Simpson and Minnie Lee Firkins, all of Independence, MO. Three grandchildren, Karen DuBois and husband, Joe of Lawson, MO; Katrina McCullough of Independence, MO and Kevin McCullough and wife Holly of Oak Grove, MO. Seven great grandchildren, Melissa DuBois, Nicole DuBois, Tyler McCullough, Mikayla McCullough, Joshua Due, Andy Due and Robin Due
