Marva Ruth Hurst, 77, of Independence, MO, passed away April 1, 2005 at Wilshire at Lakewood Care Center. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 4, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Indep. MO. The service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the chapel with burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Sugar Creek United Methodist Church. Marva was born in Kansas City, MO to John and Lylla Klippel. She was an active member and past President of the United Methodist Women. Marva was a volunteer for 10 years at the Medical Center of Independence. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, William F. Hurst. Marva is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Dr. Arthur Weisman; her son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Ruth Ann Hurst, and son Bill Hurst; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Edward Wallace; and grandchildren, Jorel Butkovich, Jake and Sasha Hurst.
