Norma Jean Hutchison, 80, of Independence, MO passed away, Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Jamestown, MO. Norma was born August 8, 1933 in Jamestown, MO to James and Nellie (Hossman) George. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of over 62 years, Joseph, “JD” Hutchison of the home; a daughter, Shelley Mudd and her husband David of Napoleon, MO; 4 sisters, Shelba Hees of Jamestown, MO, Mary Morrison of Harrisonville, MO, Janece McCormick and husband Charles of Independence, MO and Velma Nichols of Napoleon, MO; a brother, JR George and wife Betty of Jamestown, MO; 2 grandchildren, Jaycee Mudd and Treven Mudd and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Ruth George and a brother Arnold George.
