Melvin H. Idleman

Melvin H. Idleman, 91, Independence, MO died Sept. 10, 2005 at his home. Services will be 10 am, Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence; interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm, Wed. at the funeral home. Melvin was born July 14, 1914 in Independence and lived here all his life. He was an electronics technician at KCP & L for 40 years before retiring. He was also very active in the I.B.E.W. Melvin was preceded in death by his wife Agnes Idleman and daughters Diana Webb and Carol Gentry. He is survived by a son David R. Idleman; grandchildren Juli L. Idleman, Capt. Jason W. Idleman (USAF), Carrie Gentry, Travis Gentry, Luanna Ewbank, Stefan Webb, and Brandon Webb.
