Nofoaiga “Jack” Iosua Jr., 73, of Independence, MO, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019. A visitation will be held from 9-10am Monday, December 23 at the LDS Stake Center, 705 W Walnut St., Independence, MO 64050, with service to start at 10am. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Independence, MO. Jack was born January 8, 1946 to Nofoaiga Iosua Sr., and Laine Fuimaono in American Samoa. After school, he worked as a heavy machine operator for Realm Road Construction until his retirement in 2005. Jack had a good sense of humor, was a hard-working, jack of all trades, who loved yardwork, and a good rare steak. He was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and was a wonderful father, husband, and grandfather. Jack is survived by his wife, Vaiolini (Pauga) Iosua; children, Salani Iosua-Cabrera (Francisco), Christy Iosua Young (Robert), Laura Iosua, Mase Lauaki (Sione), Gese Sao (Tommy), Eleanor Tali, Vaiolini Poli (Joshua), and Olaea Iosua (Salataima Tafua); grandchildren, Vanessa, Anthony, Damon, Raymond, Vincent and Kevin, Munir Elias Farraj, Christian, Saxon, Sione, Jack, Gordon, Leveni, Manuma’a Sina, Annie, Siaosi and Lance, Seiseira, Olivia, Legend, Karely, Ezias, Iosua, Pierce and Kingston, and Olaea; and siblings, Salani, Emele, Laine, and Rina. He is preceded in death by his parents, Laine Fuimaono and Nofoaiga Iosua; his siblings, Lopeti, Gafatasi, Vaifagaloa, and Ruta; and his son, Nofoaiga.
