Raymond Eugene Ivy 67, of Kimberling City MO passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday August 16th 2021. A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM on Thursday August 26th with a service following at 2 PM, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St. Independence, MO 64055.
Raymond’s secondary memorial service will be held Friday August 27, at Faith & Wisdom Church 3950 Green Mountain Dr. Branson MO 65616. Visitation at 10 AM with a service to follow.
Raymond was born on May 17th 1954 in Independence MO to Harry & Maybelle (Frazee) Ivy. He graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1972. Married the love of his life on May 17th 1975. Raymond was a journeyman pipefitter for Missouri Gas Energy. He retired after 41 years in 2014. In 2016 he moved to Kimberling City, MO with his bride, Kandia to retire next to the lake.
Raymond was an active member of his church and held many positions in ministry through the years. In his younger years, Raymond was in the Thespian Honor Society and performed various roles in stage productions. His other hobbies included, boating, fishing, shooting sports, tinkering in the garage & spending time with his grandsons.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Maybelle Ivy, brother James Braden Jr & Sister Lola Grace Dilks.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Kandia Gale Ivy of Kimberling City, MO, His son Joseph Raymond Ivy, daughter in law Crystal Ivy, daughter Melinda Gale Shaffer, son in law John Shaffer, Grandsons Jonathan Shaffer, Xavier Ivy, Isaac Shaffer & Noah Shaffer, great granddaughter Jacquelyn Shaffer and one sister Shirley White.
Above all else Raymond loved God first, treasured his family & cherished his friends.
