Remona Lea Jackson, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021. She was 81. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm Wednesday, June 2nd with a memorial service at 10:00am on Thursday, June 3rd, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E 39th St; Independence, MO 64055. Inurnment will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery.
Remona was born October 9, 1939, in St. Joseph, MO to Charles and Maude Grossman. She married Walter Jackson on May 26, 1955 and together had four children and settled in the Blue Springs area. Remona retired in 1989 from Hallmark Cards. She was a volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital for over 30 years and an active member of Sycamore Hills Baptist Church in Independence since 1974. She enjoyed quilting, playing dominos, and traveling with Walter. Remona will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Remona is survived by her children, Samuel Jackson, Sharon Jarvis, Tina (Marshal) Clary, and Walter (Stephanie) Jackson; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 great, great-grandchildren; as well as, her brother, Virgil Grossman. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter, her parents, and several brothers and sisters.
