Jimmie L. Jacobs, 75, Kansas City, MO died Nov. 19, 2013. Visitation will be 4-6 pm, Friday, Nov. 29 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Graveside services will be 1 pm, Sat., Nov. 30 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Golden City, MO. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave., Kansas City, MO 64105; Harvester’s Food Bank, 3801 Topping Ave., Kansas City, MO 64129 or the charity of your choice. Jimmie was born Nov. 20, 1937 in Sarcoxie, MO and graduated from Golden City High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked at the Ford Claycomo plant for forty years and retired in 2012. He was a member of the UAW, American Legion Post #21, Eagles Lodge #385 and Moose Lodge #10 of Sugar Creek. He loved boating and water skiing at Pomme d’Terre and Truman Lakes, bowling, growing tomatoes and dancing. Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife Sue Ann Jacobs and sister Joyce Brueggemann. He is survived by daughters Becki Soebbing and husband John, St. Petersburg, FL; Debbi Kalberer and husband Doug, Overland Park KS; grandsons Nate, Grant and Joe Kalberer; companion Janet Reeves; brother Jack Jacobs and wife Betty; sister Judy Boehm and husband Walter; brother Johnny Jacobs and wife Michelle and many nieces, nephews and cousins
