Leonard Jacobs Jr

Lee Jacobs, 80, of Independence, MO passed away Friday February 26, 2016. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March, 5, 2016 from 1-2:00 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel. Lee was born on January 25, 1936 in Kansas City, MO to Leonard and Helen Jacobs. He worked many years as a bank teller but he enjoyed being outdoors and working in the yard most. Lee had a love for different kinds of music including big band, gospel, and anything Frank Sinatra. Lee loved his family and he will be greatly missed. He will be remembered by his wife Alice of the home; his children Cheryl Ann Clark and husband Ronald of Independence, MO, Jeff Jacobs of Blue Springs, MO, and Wendy Mackay of Blue Springs, MO; brother Jim Jacobs and wife Diana; sister Pat Occhipinto and husband Frank; granddaughters Heather Clark, Shanna Mackay and Samantha Mackay; and 6 great-grandchildren. Lee was preceded in death by his sister Sharon Geabhart and son-in-law Shane Mackay.
