Jacqueline L. White

Jacqueline Louise White "Jackie" of Blue Springs passed away at the age of 77 at Saint Luke's East Hospital on Tuesday February 13, 2024 surrounded by loving family members.  Jackie was born in Scottsbluff, NE on September 26, 1946 to Thornton (T.W.) and Lena Hobbs.  She was the middle child, having an older sister, Judy and a younger sister Linda.  After high school, she attended Central Missouri State University (now University of Central Missouri).  She married Carlton Combs in August of 1966 and they had three children together, daughters Lori and Jennifer and son Sean, before divorcing in 1990.  She played the pipe organ at Edgewood church for many years, as well as playing piano for many weddings.  In July of 1996, she married Bob White and gained a stepson Joel and stepdaughter Sara.  Jackie worked at Independence Regional Health Center for 21 years, starting as a unit secretary in the emergency room and ICU and working through time in the public relations and information technology departments.  She and Bob were active members of the Abundant Life Church in Blue Springs, MO, and she had a deep lifelong faith in the church.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.  Jackie loved life and found her greatest joy in all of her grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by both of her parents.  She is survived by her husband Bob, children (Lori, Sean, Jennifer, Joel, Sara) her 10 grandchildren and both of her sisters (Judy, Linda).  A memorial service will be held on March 30, 2024 at 10 am at Abundant Life Church in Blue Springs, Missouri.
