Thelma Jane James (Carson)

Thelma J. James, 74, Kansas City, MO passed away Sept. 13, 2014. Services will be 10 am, Wed. at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Buckner Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Tuesday at the chapel. The family requests contributions to the American Kidney Assoc., 6405 Metcalf Ave., Ste. 204, Overland Park, KS 66202. Thelma was born Nov. 22, 1939 in Kansas City, MO. She loved family outings, bingo and Holidays with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Willis “Jess” James, brothers Homer Carson, Arnie Ronsley and sister Karen Schlagg. She is survived by her mother Virginia Phillips; daughter Diana Lyman, both of Kansas City, MO; sons Bobby James; Mark James, both of Kansas; Mike James, Bates City, MO; Ronnie James, Independence, MO; brothers Ron Carson; Jerry Ronsley; Kenneth Ronsley; sister Kay Johnson; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
