Robert W. Jaquess was born in Jackson County, Missouri on June 23, 1927 to Edgar and Bessie Jaquess. He went home to be with Jesus on November 2, 2017. He had lived at the Veterans Home in Warrensburg, Mo. the last three years of his life.
He leaves his wife of 66 years, Jean Jaquess, Independence, Mo., a son, Jimmy and his wife Debi; a daughter, Linda Adair and her husband Earl; one granddaughter, Heather Howell and her husband Chris; one grandson, Joshua and his fiancée Ashlee; four great grandchildren, Caleb, Marshall, Myra and Alexander; two sisters, Marge Anderson and her husband David, Mary Jane Whitworth; and one brother Donald; many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Bob was a member of Independence Christian Center where he had served in various positions. He accepted Christ at an early age and served Him faithfully. Bob was a Sergeant in the US Army serving in Korea. After returning home he worked as a telegrapher on the railroad in Colorado. Returning to Independence, he worked at Lake City Arsenal, and finished his work career with 34 years of service as an agent and Staff Manager at Monumental Life Insurance Co.
Celebration of Life will be November 11, 2017 at Independence Christian Center, 20201 E. Valley View Road, Independence, Mo. Visitation 9:30 a.m. Service 10:00 a.m.
Family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations to Independence Christian Center.
