Salvacion Ramirez Jarquio of Salina, KS, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8th, 2013. A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 16th 2013 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 17th, 2013 at St.Mark's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Memory Garden, Independence, MO.
Sion or Sally, as she was lovingly called by her friends and family was born in Bangar, La Union (Philippines) on August 13th, 1933. She was the daughter of Daniel Ramirez and Consuelo Pimentel. Sion married her high school sweetheart, Victoriano Jarquio, after completion of her teaching degree in Far Eastern University (Manila). They emigrated from the Philippines to the U.S. and settled in Salina, KS in July of 1972 and lived there in retirement. She has been a hard working housewife and raised four boys. Sion enjoyed raising vegetables as well as tending her flower gardens. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina, KS.
Sion is survived by husband of 57 years, Victor Jarquio; son, Vinci Jarquio and wife, Inez; grandchildren, Christopher, Nicanor, and Arielle; son, Ferdinand Jarquio and wife, Helen; grandchildren, Christine, Victoria and Samantha; son, Adlai Jarquio; grandchildren, Lindsey and Jordan; son, Noel Jarquio and wife, Rosalyn; grandchildren, Jessica and Jason; great grandchildren, Isaia, Karrah, Chloe and Logan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
