Jean Marie Cambers, born on April 23rd, 1932, to Harland and Vivian Hacker (Harp) in Des Moines, Iowa, left this world on September 10th, 2023, to reunite with her loved ones in eternal peace. Her life was a testament to love, family, and cherished memories.
As a young child, Jean's family moved to Missouri, where she embarked on a remarkable journey. In high school, she met her beloved husband, Chauncey Cambers, whom she couldn't bear to be apart from, even if it meant skipping class. They married on April 28th, 1950, and their love endured for over six decades. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Chauncey F. Cambers II (Cam) and Randall H. Cambers (Randy)
Jean, a dedicated homemaker, joined the workforce in the spring of 1971, contributing her talents to Riordan's Sales of Small Engines. Jean and Chauncey shared a passion for travel, creating countless cherished memories with friends. In the 90’s they found joy by the lake, where Jean enjoyed weekends and quality time with her family and grandkids Kress, Kurt and Kayla.
She is now at peace with her beloved husband, Chauncey, and her dear siblings, Paul, Earl, and Betty, and Daughter In-Law Janice Cambers. Jean is survived by her loving sons Cam and Randy Cambers, her three grandkids, Kress Cambers (Becky Cambers), Kurt Cambers (Holly Cambers), and Kayla Barrows (Chris Barrows). Jean, known as Mamoo also leaves behind ten great-grandchildren, Gavin Cambers, Elaina Cambers, Grayson Cambers, Cole Cambers, Clay Cambers, Crew Cambers, Linden Cambers, Lanie Barrows, Avery Barrows, and Brock Barrows.
Jean was a source of love and kindness, and her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May her memory be a blessing and may her love and family values endure through the generations.
