Martha “Pat” Jeffries was born on November 7, 1940, in Sibley, MO. She graduated from Fort Osage High School in 1958 and was a life long resident of Sibley. Pat retired from Fort Osage Transportation after 37 years of service. January 8, 1960, Pat married Cecil “Pete” Jeffries and they were blessed with four sons. In her younger years she could be found on the softball field barefooted, playing 3rd base. Pat enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was blessed with the knack of crafting and always had a project in progress. Baby blankets, burp cloths, Christmas decorations, a bracelet, or any on of her crocheted creations. They were made with love and compassion and will be cherished for years. Her love for Hummingbirds kept her busy in her flower gardens to insure she had the right plants and feeders to draw the most birds year after year. Thursday night was card night and only the most important conflicts would be allowed to interfere with that! She was always up for a game of Rummikub or working on a jigsaw puzzle. Pat made the “best sweet tea in Jackson County bar none”! Pat was the fourth daughter born to Ralph and Ida Coen. She is preceded in death by; her parents; husband Pete; sisters Norma Smith, Dorothy Shropshire, and Juanita Davis; and daughter in law Carla Jeffries. Her greatest joy was her family, Pat is survived by; sons Steven Jeffries, David Jeffries (Christine), Troy Jeffries, and Travis Jeffries (Jonna); grandchildren Rachel (Jason), Derek (Beth), Samantha, Shannon, Trevor, Jana (Garrett), and Daniel; great grandchildren Hudson, Lane and Finnley; a large extended family and countless friends; and last but not least her trusty sidekick Shadow. She will be missed by all.
