Jennifer Grosse

Jennifer Kathleen Grosse, a beloved mother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away February 15, 2024, at the age of 51. Born in Kansas City, MO, on November 16, 1972, to Phillip Troy Grosse and Cynthia Marie Grosse, Jennifer's kindness, intelligence, and beauty impacted all who were fortunate to know her. 

Jennifer grew up in Gladstone, MO alongside her brother, Phillip, and sister, Ashley. Her family would later move to Blue Springs where she attended Blue Springs High School. After graduating high school she went on to Central Missouri State University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.

Above all, Jennifer's most treasured role in life was that of a mother to her two children, Joshua Jones and Lauren Martin. As a devoted mother, they were Jennifer's greatest joy. She poured her love, wisdom, and energy into creating a home for her children, who were the light of her life. Jennifer's legacy is carried on through them and has made them the successful young adults they are today.  

Jennifer is survived by her children, Joshua and Lauren; her parents, Phillip and Cynthia Grosse; her brother, Phillip; her sister, Ashley; and a circle of close friends and relatives whose lives she touched deeply. She will be remembered as a light in the lives of those she encountered. 

Funeral services will be held at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, MO on Friday, March 1. Visitation will be from 1:00pm - 2:00pm, with funeral services starting at 2:00pm. The burial will be directly following services at Woodlawn Cemetery in Independence, MO. The family invites those who knew Jennifer to join them in honoring her memory.  

Jennifer Kathleen Grosse's departure from this world leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her. Yet, her spirit, resilience, and the love she shared will forever be a beacon of light for her family and friends.
