Maymie Pauline Jennings passed away early in the morning of Friday, 11/29/13. She resided at Rosewood Health and Rehab Center at the Groves in Independence. She was born in Dow City, Iowa, Dec. 14, 1918 to Van and Maymie Talcott.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings - Victor Talcott, Doris Gabriel, Harold Talcott, and Ronald Talcott - and her grandson Tony Jennings.
Pauline is survived by her children - Shirley Wright(Jerry) of Susanville, CA. and Herman Jennings(Diana) of McDonough, Ga. - her grandchildren - Herman Tekuelve of Peculiar, Mo., Greg Tekeulve(Brenda) of Fayetteville, Ohio, Traci Jennings(Jeff) of Pekin, Ill., and Tom Jennings(Melanie) of Washington, Ill. - and her great grandchildren - Brett Jennings, Micah Tekuelve, Mark Tekuelve and Michael Jennings.
Pauline married Herman Jennings in October, 1940. Their marriage sadly ended after approximately 32 years. After that, she lived in Missouri and Illinois and returned to Independence in 1975. In Independence, she worked for her bother Ron until retiring. Pauline’s faith gave her the strength to make it through several tough times in her life and gave her the desire to continually help others in need.
