Bessie Fay Jensen, 87, passed away on April 8, 2017.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at LDS Stake Center, 705 W. Walnut St., Independence, MO 64050. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 13, at the church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Bessie was born on March 9, 1930, in Kansas City, MO, to Eugene and Frida Watters. She lived most of her life in the Independence area, and was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, and making all kinds of crafts.
Survivors include her husband, Wyman Jensen; children, William “Pete” (Jenifer) Whitteck, Mark (Linda) Whitteck, and Judy (David) McGrath; step-children, Bertha Jensen, Melinda (Gaetan) Baron, Kristine (Josh) Jackson, Kirk (Jane) Jensen, Everett Fisher, Caleen (Michael) Vogel, and Kim (Brad) Bicknell; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; and brother, Alvin (Susie) Watters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Frida Watters; brother, Rulon Watters; husband, Cal Fisher; step-sons, Bruce and Ty Fisher; and grandson, Randal Fisher.
