Pauline Jessen, 85, of Independence, MO, passed away May 25, 2014 Graveside Inurnment will be private. Pauline was born on March 20, 1929 to Frank Sr. and Ann (Mehulka) Kolbe in Ackley, Iowa. Pauline was one of thirteen children. During college, Pauline played basketball, and remained a fan of college basketball throughout her life. She was a loyal Chiefs fan. Pauline enjoyed mowing her yard, making sure that a leaf never remained long! She enjoyed spending time with her 3 daughters more than anything. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Jim” Jessen, her parents, 7 brothers and sisters, and 1 grandchild, Jessica Gardner. Left to mourn her passing are daughters, Cheryl Hogan (Dan), Chris Forrester (Scott), and Tracy Enke (Tim); sisters, Evie Matney, Bernie Cariello, Shirley Wilkening, and Jo Lukheart; brother, Stan Kolbe; and 2 grandchildren, Brice and Julia Hogan.
