Lieselotte “Lilo” Jimerson, age 87, of Oak Grove, MO, passed away peacefully on
Tuesday, June 1, 2021, with family by her side, at the Saint Luke’s Hospice House
in Kansas City. She was born August 8, 1933 in Stuttgart, Germany, the daughter
of the late Karl and Maria Schwahn and the first of two children.
In 1955 Lilo married Robert “Russell” Jimerson of Puryear, Tennessee in Stuttgart,
Germany. They were married 50 years. Russell was serving in the Army so Lilo
was able to see much of the United States before settling in Missouri in 1963 to
raise their family.
Lilo was a lifelong homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking, especially
German cuisine, decorating her home, sewing, crafting, crocheting, knitting,
coloring with colored pencils. “Oma” as she was dearly referred to, loved spending
time with her family, especially her son, daughters and their families. She loved
dogs and cats.
Survivors include her five children, Linda (Tom) Hamilton, Diana (Brian) Ezechiels,
Geanie (Danny) Taylor, Rusty Jimerson, Tricia (Mark Morris) Jimerson.
Grandchildren, Jesse, Carly, Travis, Cody, Ian, Justin, Wesley, Izek, Wyatt and 7
great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded
in death by her husband, parents and brother, Walter Schwahn.
A private graveside service and interment will be held Wednesday, June 9th, in the
Mound Grove Cemetery with brother-in-law, Elder Danny Jimerson officiating.
