Patricia “Tricia” Sue Jimerson,of Blue Springs, MO, passed away far too soon on Friday,
November 25th, 2022. She was 60 years old.
A visitation will take place from 1-2pm on Friday, December 2nd, with a celebration of life following at 2pm, both at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052.
Tricia was born on September 25, 1962, in Olympia, Washington to Robert and Lieselotte (Schwahn) Jimerson. She graduated from Ft. Osage High School in 1980 where she enjoyed playing in the band and spending time with family and friends. She then went on to study cosmetology before finding her true passion with animals and became a veterinarian technician. Tricia worked at the Chipman Road Animal Clinic in Lee’s Summit for nearly 30 years. Her love of animals went beyond work into other areas of her life. She adored her Bassett hounds Roxy, Jake, and Jackson. She always
believed that “Life was always better with dogs.”
Tricia’s smile and hysterical laughter was contagious to others as she entered a room.
She was the life of every party and was often found singing and dancing with her son, his friends,
and her family. Everything from Elton John to Michael Jackson to Supertramp And Chicago. Music was in her soul. In the words of another artist she loved, Prince, “Everybody’s got a bomb. We could all die any day, but before I let that happen, I’ll dance my life away.” She will be so incredibly missed.
Tricia is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Mark Morris; her son, Travis Standiford (Ann Bulcock); sisters, Linda (Tom) Hamilton, Diana (Brian) Ezechiels, and Geanie (Danny) Taylor; brother, Rusty Jimerson; mother-in-law, Patricia Morris; sister-in-law, Marsha (Ed) Deshepherd; brother-in-laws, Mike (Teresa) Morris and Patrick (Sandra) Morris; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
