Thomas Nathan "Tom� Jinks Jr., 49, of Independence, died December 24, 2006.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Mound Grove Cemetery with military honors. Tom was born at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri on March 30, 1957 the son of Thomas Nathan and Betty A. (Bergman) Jinks. Tom will be remembered as a loving son, partner, brother, uncle and friend. He was a handyman and was always there for others. Tom enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing and had a wonderful work ethic. He was a Machinist and Supervisor for Lacota Industries and Plastic Sales and Manufacturing. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Tom is survived by his father Thomas Nathan Jinks of Sedalia, Mo., his mother Betty Creager and step father Everett of Independence, his partner of 16 years Ronnie Dagley of the home, five siblings, Richard Morris and wife Beverly of Odessa, Mo., Connie Smith and husband Alvin of Sedalia, Mo., Pamela Summers of Kansas City, Mo., Debra Laufer and husband Richard of Independence, Steven Bybee and partner Richard Pallach of Chicago, Ill., Nieces and Nephews: Jack Shull and wife Mindy, Tommy Smith and wife Tiffany, Joshua Donnici and Jared Laufer, great niece and nephew Austin and Alexa Shull, Step Nieces and Nephews: Terry Hadden, Jennifer Adhern, Angela Laufer, Richard Laufer and step great nephews, Tucker, Cory, Dustin and Kelly. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tom Jinks Memorial Fund c/o Commerce Bank attention: Debra Laufer, 2915 S. Noland Road, Independence, Mo. to be designated by the family at a later date.
