Joan Katherine Reynolds

Joan Katherine Reynolds, 79 of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Lee’s Summit Medical Center.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel with burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Raytown, MO.  The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m., until service time Friday at the chapel.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in her name to the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation.  Joan was born June 29, 1944 in Kansas City, MO to Harley and Mary Jo (Orlando) Chilcote.  She has been a lifelong area resident graduating from East High School.  She enjoyed gardening, cross stitching, decorating her home, dancing, cooking and coloring.  She had worked for a short time as a beauty advisor for Walgreens.  She was married to Terry Reynolds who preceded her in death in 2003.  Survivors include; 5 children, Bryon T.E. Juliana, Pamela Juliana, Deborah Duehren and husband Chris, Linda Williams and husband Roger and Scott Browning; a brother, Ronnie L. Chilcote and wife Nancy; a sister, Kathy Jo Gutierrez; 6 grandchildren, Chris Jenne, Anthony Jenne, Emily Coleman, Tanner Coleman, Rachel Ashley and Ryon Juliana; 4 great grandchildren, Marcus Jenne, Charlotte Jenne, Logan Ashley and Noah Ashley and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death in addition to her husband, her parents, a longtime companion, Bill Lytton in 2019.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.speakschapel.com (Arrangements: Speaks Suburban Chapel (816) 373-3600)
