JoAnn Estelle Clark, a beacon of love and compassion, passed away on October 9, 2024, in Independence, Missouri, at the age of 90. Born on September 3, 1934, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she filled her years with a spirit of service that touched the lives of all who knew her.

 

As a devoted critical care nurse, JoAnn spent many years nurturing those in need, serving as the head nurse in both the Emergency Room for 16 years and the Intensive Care Unit for 2 years. Her career was marked by an unwavering commitment to the well-being of her patients, a testament to her loving and caring personality. She held each life entrusted to her with the utmost respect and empathy, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her colleagues and the countless lives she saved.

 

JoAnn's passions extended far beyond her professional pursuits. She was an avid baker, delighting family and friends with her sweet creations, and an enthusiastic crocheter, lovingly crafting blankets for her grandchildren. Her love for genealogy allowed her to weave the stories of her ancestors into the fabric of her family history, enriching the lives of her descendants. JoAnn's wanderlust led her on many adventures across the globe, but more than anything, she cherished gathering her family, taking joy in all the moments spent together.

 

She was surrounded by her loved ones during her final moments, a fitting conclusion to a life that revolved around family. JoAnn is survived by her beloved children, Julie (Lopeti) Tuione, Paul (Annette) Clark, Jill Clark; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Roy Fuller, Jr.; nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends; each one cherishing the memories created with her throughout the years. She joins her late husband, William R. Clark; parents, Robert Roy and Bernice Iantha (Kettner) Fuller; and sisters, Wilma and Karen, whose spirits she will forever carry.

 

Visitation services for JoAnn will be held at the LDS Independence Stake Center, located at 705 W Walnut St, Independence, MO 64050, on October 18, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The following day, Saturday, October 19, 2024, a private family service will begin at 10:00 AM and a Bishop’s Service will begin at 11:00 AM. A burial will take place at Mt. Washington Cemetery, 614 S Brookside Ave, Independence, MO 64053, following Saturday's services.

 

In her passing, JoAnn leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to family. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
