Barbara Ann Johnson (Bailey)

December 12, 1947 — February 15, 2015

Barbara Ann Johnson, 67 of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 27th at Carson Speaks Chapel. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28th at the chapel. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Independence, MO.
Barbara was born December 12, 1947 in Brookfield, MO to Anna Lorene (Norman) and Lane Evans Bailey as one of six children. She grew up in Independence and graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1965. She married David Johnson in 1964 and together they had a son. Barbara was also a graduate of University of Missouri, Kansas City. She was a long time employee of Lake City Army Ammunitions Plant. She enjoyed the outdoors, landscaping, hiking, camping, and fishing. Barbara was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her family remembers her as kind, sweet, loving, and tender hearted. They say, “Our hearts are broken for the loss of her, and she will be missed more than words can say.”
She leaves behind son, Jeffrey Allen Johnson; mother, Anna Lorene; loving companion of 25 years, Bob Hamm; sisters, Linda Cartwright (Joe); and Judy Bailey (fiancé, Bill Fields); brothers, Darrel Bailey (Val), and Ron Bailey (life partner, Lydia Dayton); and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her.
