Freda Louise Johnson

Freda Louise Johnson, 81 of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, June 18, 2006 at Independence Manor Care Nursing Center. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2006 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Visitation will precede the services starting at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Freda was born February 27, 1925 in Independence, MO to Forest Leslie and Freda Louise (Hohmstein) Miller and has been a lifelong area resident. She had worked for over 31 years for Montgomery Ward in their catalog department until she retired in 1981. She later worked part time for Montgomery Wards at the Blue Ridge Mall. She was married to Kenneth Johnson, he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Sharon Johnson. Survivors include; 2 nieces, Ella Edwards of Independence, MO and Debbie DeShazer of Halstead, KS; a nephew, Fred Miller, Jr. of Independence, MO; 18 great nieces and nephews and several great great nieces and nephews.
