Geraldine L. Mobley Johnson, 88 of Independence, MO passed away, Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Entombment will be in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday evening with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at the chapel. Donations may be made to the Archbishop O�Hara High School 9001 James A. Reed Rd. Kansas City, MO 64138. Gerry was born February 10, 1918 in Kansas City, MO to Robert E. and Louise (Basso) Crocker and has been a lifelong area resident. She had worked as an executive secretary for Thompson Hayward Chemical Company, Carpenter Paper Company and Stalcup Neon before working as a benefits authorizer for the Social Security Administration for a number of years until she retired in 1980. She was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion women�s auxiliary�s in Independence. She was married to H. Glenn Mobley who passed away in 1974; she then married Purvis E. Johnson, who died in 1995. Survivors include; a son, Robert Mobley and his wife Kathy of Blue Springs, MO; a sister, Betty Beston of Aurora, CO and 3 grandchildren, Richard Davis, Steven Alff and Sarah Mobley. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Alff in 1978 and a sister, Marjorie D. Young in 1984.
