Irene Elizabeth Johnson

Irene Elizabeth Johnson, 80 of Independence passed away Sun, Feb. 18,2007 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 2:30 pm, Thu. Apr 22, 2007 at the Carson- Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Indep. MO. Burial in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 - 2:30pm on the day of the service. Mrs. Johnson was born on May 2, 1926 to Vic and Ellen (Fox) Evans in North Carolina. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her pets. She was a lifetime member of the Sugar Creek VFW Post Auxiliary and a past member of the Moose Lodge. Irene is survived by her husband George "Bob� Johnson of Independence; two daughters Shirley Ann Patrick and husband Leonard of Kansas City, MO and Connie Branscom of Independence. A stepdaughter, Patricia Johnson of Virginia; two stepsons, Larry Johnson of Africa and Charles Johnson of Independence. A brother Bill Evans of Charlotte, NC, five grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
