Kelly Ann Johnson (Lane)

Kelly Ann Johnson, 63, passed away in Independence, Missouri, on Sunday, April 11, 2021. She was born to John and Lois Lane on June 27, 1957 in Independence, Missouri.
After graduating from Van Horn High School in 1975 Kelly found and married her best friend Alan Johnson. They spent the next 42 years creating a life together. Kelly loved her family fiercely. She enjoyed every moment she had with them, especially her grandbabies. Kelly also looked forward to the Native American Pow Wow each year. On holidays or special occasions her loved ones would anticipate her heartfelt cards that she would carefully pick out and send. Kelly always saw the beauty in life and didn’t take things for granted. She was a diehard Chiefs fan, enjoyed keeping up with family and friends thru the use of Facebook and loved to shop! Kelly was truly one of a kind and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Alan; son, Travis and wife Carrie; grandchildren, Jaxson, Jordon and Jaydn; sister, Diane Mayfield (Don); and furry companion, her dog, Brusky.
Kelly is preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Carson-Speaks Chapel with a funeral service to follow. Burial will take place at Mt. Washington Cemetery.
