Patricia Roberta Johnson (Lyons) died peacefully on Flag day, June 14, with her daughter, Susan, son-in-law Terry and grand daughters, Angie and Melissa. Patty was born in the midst of the Great Depression (24 November 1934). She endured the tragedy as a pre-teen of losing her father and two older sisters to tuberculosis. Patty, as the older sister to Malissa Jane, learned the art of being a mother early on. She married Clyde Johnson in 1952 and they produced four children, Larry, Susan, Mary and Alan. In 2012 Clyde succumbed to pulmonary fibrosis disease. Despite enormous sorrow over losing Clyde, Patty carried on living life and enjoying a yummy rum and coke at the end of each day. She was blessed with 11 grand children, 14 great grand children and one great great grand daughter. Patty is remembered fondly for her kindness and sense of humor. When she met a stranger she made a point of remembering their name. Even during her eighth decade of life, her mind remained sharp. She is now at peace and the family she left behind celebrate her life. Patty is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Clyde; son, Alan Johnson; sisters, Janie, Joanne, Earnestine and Betty and brother, Jim.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Mount Washington Cemetery. Please enter the cemetery thru the Truman Rd. gate entrance. Patty's grandaughter, Alison Hudspeth will be livestreaming via facebook.
