Richard “Red” Johnson, 65, of Independence, MO passed away un expectantly March 7, 2017 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 6-8pm at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Red was born on March 19, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to Robert and Donna (Morrison) Johnson. He attended Truman High School. For several years Red was a mechanic and Harley Davidsons were his passion. The only thing that he loved more was his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He cherished the time that he spent with his children and grandchildren and always looked forward to when they would return. Survivors include; wife of 11 years Roberta Johnson. Son Jeremiah Johnson; daughter Laura Johnson; stepdaughter Natasha Anderson; stepson Albert Isaacson; 8 grandchildren; sister Vicki Hines; a large extended family and many friends. Red is preceded in death by his parents, son Richard Johnson, Jr. and a brother Robert “Eddie” Johnson.
