Rosena Sophia Johnson, 97 of Independence, MO passed away peacefully on Sat. Mar. 6, 2004 at her home. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Sat. Mar. 13, 2004 at Mount Washington Forever Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 - 8:30 pm, Friday at the George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home 1501 W. Lexington, Independence. MO. Mrs. Johnson was born on Jan 25, 1907 to Adolph and Lydia Meirarend in Kansas City, MO and had lived in Fresno, CA for 40 years before returning to Independence in 1965. Mrs. Johnson is survived by a stepson, Wallace Johnson Jr. of Naples, FL. A neighbor, Bruce Payne of Independence and a friend, Kurt Battles of Kansas City, MO.
