Sarah Johnson

Sarah Ann Johnson, 84, Warsaw, MO, formerly of Kansas City, MO, passed away Sept. 9, 2012 at Monterey Park. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm, Wed. at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm at the funeral home. Burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Shriners Children’s Hospital. Sarah was born April 26, 1927 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Charles and Lillie Margaret (Howard) Wilson. She moved to California, living there for 21 years before returning to the Independence area. Sarah was enjoyed donating to the Sedalia Shrine Club for the Shriners Children’s Hospital. She loved to crochet and donated several quilts to nursing homes and churches. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan A. Johnson in June 2012; five brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include her brother Dan Wilson and wife Ida; sister-in-law, Jean Wilson; five step children and additional family and friends
