Sharon E. Johnson, 76, from Independence, MO died Sunday November 8, 2020, at her sons residence in Spickard, MO, while under hospice care.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Following the service, she will be cremated and laid to rest at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Johnson was born October 26.1944 in Kansas City, KS to William John Cowan and Mary Murphy Cowan.
Mrs Johnson was employed at Community Blood Center for 16 years retiring in 2006.
She is survived by 2 sons, Donald Polk, Spickard, MO, and David Polk, Tulsa, OK; 1 daughter Jaime Moore, Independence, MO; 2 brothers, Raymond Wayne Cowan Kansas City, MO and John Cowan Grand Junction, CO; and 2 sisters Mary Lou McBee Kansas City, MO and Bonnie Parsons Independence, MO. In addition, she leaves behind 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 sisters, Alberta Hutsler and Carolyn Alice Johnson.
