Barbara Sue “Bobbie” Jones, 74 of Independence passed away September 2, 2018.
Family will greet friends, 6 to 8pm Thursday, September 6th,, with funeral services at 10am Friday, September 7th. Both services will be held at Maywood Baptist Church, 10505 E Winner Rd. Private graveside burial at Mount Washington Cemetery. Bobbie was born February 27, 1944. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 1962. She worked at Curt’s Market most of her life, which was owned by her parents Curt and Hazel Jones. Bobbie is survived by her partner of 28 years Robert Bartlett, three daughters; Marsha Oldham (Don), Christine Nickens, and Anna Rhodelander; half-sister Jackie Myers (Robert), seven grandchildren; Donovan Butler, Chelsea Oldham, Brandi Nickens, Brandon Reed, Tyler Ambrose, Tony Ambrose, Trevor Ambrose, five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Curt and Hazel Jones and her sister and brother in-law Deloris & Chuck Sisler. Family requests donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
