Helen "Janette" Jones

Helen J. "Janette� Jones, 82 of Independence, MO passed away Wed. May 25, 2005 at the Regency Care Center. Services will be 11:00 am, Sat. May 28, 2005 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Indep. MO. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial in Blue Springs Cemetery. Helen was born on Nov 1, 1922 to Wallace and Helen (Ingram) Burgess in Independence, MO and was a life long area resident. She had been employed at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant during WWII and later worked at Halls in Kansas City, now known as Hallmark Cards. She was a loving mother and grandmother and in previous years she enjoyed traveling to places like London, Germany, Hawaii and Greece. Most recently she spent her time with family and listening to music.. She was a member of Mt. Washington Methodist Church. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Jones in 1985. Her survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Green and husband Wayne of Independence and Cathy Engle of Raytown, MO. Four grandchildren, Daniel Green, Sherri Villines, Christopher Engle and Jered Engle. Also by five great grandchildren.
