Rebecca Lynn Jones

Rebecca Lynn Jones, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away on March 15, 2022.

Rebecca was born on July 31, 1949, in Kansas City, MO to Arthur and Roberta (Fellers) Eggers. In her younger years, Becky was involved with Youth For Christ, playing piano and singing in the choir. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 1967. Later in life, she went on to complete her education at Maple Woods Community College.

Becky taught reading and was a bus driver for Berean Christian Academy for a time. After work life at Cerner, and various administrative positions, she found her place in the North Kansas City School District. There, she served in the transportation department and proudly contributed to the adult education program. She loved playing darts and golf. Her proudest moments were the births of her grandchildren and celebrating the achievements of her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by so many that loved her.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind her children, Joe (Staci) Nash and Martha Humphress; grandchildren, Amanda Humphress, Keegan Nash, Harley Humphress, and Dakota Humphress; 2 great-granddaughters; her sister, Linda Eggers Desimio, and her children, Michael DeSimio and Sarah Clark, along with their children; as well as, a large extended family and many close friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Grace Christian Assembly.
