Richard A. Jones

Richard Jones, 68, of Independence, MO passed away May 21, 2017. A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Richard was born November 5, 1948 to George and Virginia Jones. In 2001, he retired from GST, formerly Armco Steel, after which he enjoyed traveling. One of the things that he enjoyed the most was spending time with his kids and grandkids at Pomme de Terre Lake. Richard had a great sense of humor, and always enjoying playing a good prank. He was a do-it-yourselfer, and will be remembered by many as a classic car enthusiast. Richard was a member of Rod-Tiques. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Rebecca Schrader. Richard is survived by his wife of 51 years, Debra Jones; two daughters, Stacey Hutchison (husband Tom) and Shelley Jones; brother, Robert Jones; three granddaughters, Regan Lowin, Alexandra Hutchison and Whitney Hutchison.
