Shirley Jones

Shirley Lee Jones, 87 of Blue Springs, MO passed away, Sunday, September 9, 2007 at her residence. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 13, 2007 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Thursday at the chapel. Shirley was born July 28, 1920 in Kansas City, MO to Lloyd G. and Eleanora (Myers) Ferril and has been a lifelong area resident. She was a mother and homemaker who enjoyed sewing, traveling, reading and playing cards. She was a member of the RLDS church, the Young Matrons and the Turnabout Card Club. She was married to Hyram A. Jones, he preceded her in death in 2000. Survivors include; 4 sons, Larry Jones of Blue Springs, MO, Wayne Jones and his wife Nancy of Lee’s Summit, MO, Kirk Jones and his wife Marilyn of Blue Springs, MO and Mark Jones and his wife Debra of Napoleon, MO; 7 grandchildren, Marty Jones, Angela Campbell, Kyle Jones, Nikki Ahern, Kevin Jones, Andy Jones and Kimberly Jones; 7 great grandchildren, Caleb Jones, Ashton Campbell, Anderson Campbell, Madeline Ahern, Kyler Jones, Kelan Jones, Dilynn Jones and a great granddaughter due in October 2007; a sister, Patricia Hook of Leawood, KS. Donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice.
