Theda Margaret Jones

Theda M. Jones, 89, Independence, MO, formerly of Lamoni, passed away Feb. 25, 2006. Graveside services will be 11:30 am, Thursday, March 2, 2006 at Mound Grove Cemetery in Independence. The family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer�s Association. Theda was born Nov. 28, 1916 in Malad, ID. She graduated from Graceland College. She and her husband, Max W. Jones owned a drug store in Lamoni, IA. before moving to Jacksonville, FL where they resided for many years. After moving to Independence, she became a member of the Stone Church Congregation of Community of Christ and was very involved with the church throughout her life. She enjoyed reading the Prayer of Peace and gave tours of the Temple for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971. Theda is survived by daughter Elizabeth Ann Jones Cackler, Ames, IA; brother Jerry Jones, Malad, ID; nephew Todd Jones and grandchildren Elissa and Jon.
