Joseph M. Dumsky, born on August 3, 1959, in Sugar Creek, Missouri, passed away on December 16, 2024, in his hometown.
Joseph graduated from Van Horn High School and went on to build a successful career as an electrician, dedicating over 40 years to his craft. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 124 (IBEW), where he formed lasting connections with colleagues and contributed to his community through his work.
He is survived by his daughter Margot (Abbi) Lane; his mother, Margaret “Peggy”; his fiancée, Susan; and his siblings Sarah (Larry) and Stephen (Rocio). Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Charles, and his sister Ann.
A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Saturday, December 21st at Carson-Speaks Chapel on Lexington Avenue in Independence, Missouri. There will be more information on his Celebration of Life to follow.
