With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Joseph (Sefo) Archie LoTam affectionately known as Joe, who departed this world too soon on August 12, 2024, in Independence, Missouri. Born on May 30, 1958, Apia, Western Samoa, Joe's life was a testament to love, hard work, and unwavering dedication to his beloved family.
Joe made his family feel safe and cherished, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and affection that will forever be treasured. His warm smile and caring nature touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. memories he created will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, serving as a source of comfort in their time of grief.
Joe had a passion for spending time with his family and watching the Chiefs football games, finding joy in the simple moments shared with those he held dear. His commitment to his loved ones knew no bounds, and he was always willing to go above and beyond to ensure their happiness and well-being.
Among Joe's proudest accomplishments were his daughters and grandchildren, whom he adored beyond measure, and his commitment to his wife of 45 years Vicki. His unconditional love and unwavering support were constants in their lives, shaping them into the remarkable individuals they are today. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire those he leaves behind.
The void left by Joe's passing is felt deeply by his wife, Vicki; daughters, Nicole (Harley) Davidson, Natalie (Laban) McInturff, Neeley (Chris) Mousseau; grandchildren, Reagan McInturff, Connor LoTam, Liam McInturff, Ella McInturff, Abby Davidson, Barrett Mousseau, Hudson Mousseau; brother, Sabu LoTam; Sisters, Lina Chang, Anna LoTam; many extended family and dear friends. In his departure, Joe is reunited with his parents, Archie and Nifo LoTam; brothers, Sio LoTam, Vito LoTam; sister, Havira LoTam, where we can only imagine the joy of their reunion in heaven.
Services to celebrate Joe's life will be held on August 17, 2024, at Carson-Speaks Chapel in Independence. A visitation will take place from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM. The final farewell will be at Alta Vista Cemetery in Weatherby, where a Graveside Service will commence at 1:00 PM.
In honoring Joe's memory, let us cherish the love he shared, the memories he created, and the legacy of kindness and generosity he leaves behind. May his soul rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and light he brought into the world.
