Juanita Magdalena Rhodus

Juanita Magdalena (Sanchez) Rhodus, 75, of Independence, MO was called home on April 15, 2025. She was born to Frank Sanchez and Julia Hernandez on May 18, 1949 in Kansas City, MO. She was born the fourth of seven children.

Juanita is survived by her husband of 40 years, Thomas Rhodus of the home. Her children, Sabrina Miller, Gary Miller Jr (Chariti), Dawn Turner (Josh). Grandchildren Britney McCool, Jessika Hammer, Julian Miller, Carson Miller, Shawn Turner, and Ariana Turner. Great grandchildren Maxwell, Myia, and Dyna. She leaves behind siblings, nieces, nephews, and many extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and grandson Josh Turner Jr.

Juanita was an avid sports fan. She loved attending Royals games and watching the Chiefs play. In her day, she was a star bowler. Many knew her as the plant and flower reviver. If you were in need, Juanita would welcome you with open arms. She was known to frequent her favorite restaurants with her husband and children.

Visitation will be held at Speaks Funeral Home, 18020 East 39th Street S, Independence, MO 64055, Monday April 21, 2025 at 9:00 am. Services to follow at 10am. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery 701 S Noland Rd, Independence, MO 64050.
