Judith M. Blundell

Judith M. Blundell passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, in Blue Springs, Missouri, on her 84th birthday. Judy was born on January 31, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri. Her late parents were Harold and Marie Myers.

Judy’s career as a bank teller spanned most of her life, an industry in which she built meaningful relationships. Her work was a reflection of her personality – outgoing and fun. She had been actively engaged in various social activities; she enjoyed bowling in leagues, playing darts, and was a part of the Eastsider pool league. In her downtime, she found pleasure in solving crossword puzzles and cheering for her favorite ball teams.

Judy valued hard work and camaraderie. She is remembered fondly by those who knew her for her kind demeanor and gentle approach to life.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Dawn Blundell “Micki”; grandchildren, Jessica Blundell, Cody Blundell and Samantha Poynter; great grandchild, Gabby; sisters, Jean Weber and late husband Bill, Linda Hisle and late husband Wally; niece, Debbie Hill and family; nephews, Andy Banks and family, Joe Banks and family. 

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald; son, Donny Blundell Jr. and sister, Gladys Dyer and husband Bud. 

A visitation will be held on February 5, 2025, at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A private burial will take place at Mount Washington Cemetery.
