David Richard "Dave" Juergens

Friday, November 13, 2020, David Richard Juergens, 61, loving husband and beloved father of three children, passed away. David was born on November 29, 1958 in Independence, Missouri to Richard Juergens and Sylvia (Seat) Datweiler. He was a retired tradesman and a jack of all trades. He spent his remaining years with the love of his life, Kim Lea Fine-Juergens.

Dave loved creating and making art. His personalized greetings cards are cherished by his family. He had a passion for delicious food, was a fantastic home cook, and proudly kept up his Kansas City Foodies restaurant page where he delighted in the city's local restaurants. He had an eclectic knowledge of nature and was an avid fisher. He instilled curiosity and enjoyment of nature in his children.

David was preceded in death by his father, Richard. He is survived by his wife Kim, his three children, JoLee (Doug Christian), Marshall (Keriann Wiester), and Kelsey, his mother Sylvia, his brother Paul, ex-wife and mother of his children Lori Starr, Step-Siblings Danny Datweiler (Irene) and Dixie Hays (Doug), Aunts Jacqueline Seat Mindling, Melody Wallace and Cheryl Porter, and many cherished cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held after the pandemic subsides. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to a Go Fund Me https://gf.me/u/y8rrwb or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Kansas City.
