Kalah Elaine Urban

In Loving Memory of Kalah Urban June 17, 1947 – January 14, 2025 

Kalah Urban passed away peacefully on the fourteenth day of the first month of two thousand twenty-five. Born on June 17, 1947, Kalah was a beacon of love, joy, and warmth to everyone she met. 

Kalah’s radiant spirit mirrored her love for sunshine and warm weather. She adored the holiday magic of Christmas and was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan, cheering them on with unshakable enthusiasm. Her smile and kind heart lit up every room, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. 

Kalah is survived by her three daughters, Kim, Shelley (and Justin), and January, who were the light of her life; her cherished grandchildren, Joe (and Cozy), Dom (and Bridgett), Skye (and Tony), Howie, and Regan; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Jadien, Bella Rose, Ray, Izaiah, and Imber. 

She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, her brother Phil and his wife Stacey, along with their son Layton and the always-energetic little Mikey; and her sister Janelle and her husband Ron, along with their daughters Missi and Maren. 

Kalah’s legacy is one of unconditional love, endless generosity, and a passion for life that inspired everyone who knew her. Though not everyone could be by her side, she was surrounded by the love of her family near and far. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by her family and countless friends. 

While her family and friends mourn her absence, they take comfort in knowing Kalah has been reunited with her beloved mother, “Granny,” and her late husband, Mick. Their bond and love endure, even beyond this life. 

A celebration of Kalah’s life will be held at a later date of the family’s choosing. In honor of her memory, the family encourages everyone to embrace life with her same warmth and joy—and to cheer a little louder for the Chiefs this season.
