Jean Eileen Saliers Kane

Jean Eileen Saliers Kane, 85, of Kansas City, MO passed away on April 17, 2006 at her home. She was born March 22, 1921 in Tiffin, Ohio to Harold A. and Grace E. Saliers. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Ann; and her father and mother, Hal and Gracie. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Brian Gerard Kane of Kansas City, MO; a daughter, Karen Marie White of Blue Springs, MO; two sons, Kevin Michael Kane of Goldens Bridge, NY and Terence Patrick Kane of Scott City, KS; a son-in-law, Ronald R. White; 4 grandchildren, Jason White of Kansas City, MO and his wife Cindy, Justin White of Blue Springs, MO, Dustin Kane of Chattanooga, TN and his wife Sarah and Kailin Eskander of Lee�s Summit, MO and her husband Rober; 3 great grandchildren, Jordan, Olivia and Nathan White. Jean and her husband Brian met while performing on stage at the Cleveland Playhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, where they enjoyed their work together prior to Brian�s induction into the military in preparation for WWII. They were married on November 15, 1941 and have resided in Ruskin Heights since 1952 and have been active parishioners at St. Matthew Apostle Catholic Church. Jean will be deeply missed by all who had contact with her. A visitation will be held from 9-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, at the St. Matthew Apostle Church, with a Rosary held at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO. Contributions may be made to the 2006 St. Matthew Renovation Fund, Crossroads Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
