Bonnie N. Kankey, 81, peacefully passed on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Independence, Missouri. She was one of a set of twins born July 7, 1939 to John W. and Rusha M. (McNeill) Miller in Calico Rock, Arkansas.
Bonnie grew up and graduated from Calico Rock High School. On July 8, 1964, she married Verlin G.W. Kankey of Wideman, Arkansas. They moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where she retired from First National Bank after 35 plus years of service. She moved to Warsaw, Missouri in 2000.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her twin brother, John L. Miller and younger brother, Walter S. Miller.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Bonita S. Rudder (Jeremy Long, son-in-law) of Warsaw, Missouri and daughter, Anna M. Kankey (Ruben Salinas, son-in-law) of Independence, Missouri. Grandchildren, Jessica L. Mayfield (Michael) of Bolivar, Missouri, Amanda S. Cobb (Tyler) of St Louis, Missouri and Ruben Ray and Marrissa Salinas. Great Grandchildren, Jayden Mayfield, Samantha Sprague, Katelyn Mayfield and Clayton Mayfield, together with many other family members and close friends.
Bonnie loved any time spent with her family and friends. She adored her fur baby Sparky, playing the Lottery and Bingo. She will be laid to rest with her Grandparents, Parents and Brothers in Spring Creek Cemetery in Calico Rock, Arkansas. Graveside service Saturday, February 6th, 2021 at 1:00pm.
