Karen Sue Woods ascended as an angel on August 18, 2024. She was always a true friend and a memory maker. She came into this world on the Fourth of July, 1962 as a firecracker and remained a firecracker for all her 62 years. She was born in Vancouver, Washington, and lived in Missouri with her Grandma Edith. She had her home with Community Access and Rita Oliver for the last twenty-plus years. Karen was the sunshine in your soul (not the rain- she didn't like the rain). She brought joy to those around her, and she touched many hearts and brought many smiles to those she met. She could be fierce, bold, and determined when she knew what she wanted. She knew that people had good in their hearts and she would bring it forth with her sweet words of saying "you’re so pretty" or telling you that she loved you. We all have the memory of her playing Memory and winning. We know how she always drank her water and let everyone know what she was doing. She would look out her big picture window to watch her friends and monitor the coming and goings of the street. She truly loved going on dates with her boyfriend Darren, driving in the community and finding flags. She was everyone's girl because she gave us all a lifetime of love to remember her amplified personality and sweet soul. Always loved always remembered our Karen Sue Woods. Waiting for her to tell God to stop the storm- "it wakes her up"! A celebration of Karen’s life will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the Mike Onka Memorial Hall, 11520 Putnam St., Sugar Creek, MO 64054.
